令人享受的經驗

這是我第一次參加筆友交流計畫，我曾在很多書本及電影中看過很多美好的筆友故事，也希望自己可以有一個筆友聊天。雖然在這裡，筆友的長相不是個謎，但經過寫信交流來了解對方喜好，猜測對方個性的過程同樣非常有趣。用著不算流利的英文，有時候無法正確表達自己的想法造成的誤解，和對方用流利的母語在字字句句間使用著我不曾聽過的日常用語，都在無形間加強了我的英文能力。

活動開始的前一天，我花了半個多小時準備我的第一封信，結果我的筆友Jalie 搶先發送了她的信，我雖然很驚訝，但還是重新寫了封信發回給她。這幾個月，我們交換了差不多二十封信，對對方的了解也越來越深厚，從一開始小心翼翼，絞盡腦汁的思考要怎麼回Jalie，到想到什麼就寫什麼，長短已經不重要，文法也越來越口語化。

在信中，我們聊了很多東西，像喜歡吃的東西、家裡的寵物、去過的景點、喜歡做的活動和許多生活中的照片。Jalie 跟我分享的她和朋友自己手做的 charcuterie board 和 desert charcuterie board，看起非常好吃。他也有跟我分享他們家的寵物小狗Ginge和貓咪Juno，還有她最喜歡的馬Prowler，最重要的，就是她自己的照片。同時，我也跟她分享了許多照片，像是台北101、阿里山甜甜圈、臭豆腐和其他美味的小吃，當然，我也有傳我自己的照片給她，例如全班的大合照，我和弟弟的照片，旅行照之類的。

This is my first time participating in the pen pal exchange program. I have seen many pen pal stories in books and movies, and I wish I could have a pen pal to chat with. Although the appearance of pen pals is not a mystery here, it is also very interesting to learn about each other's preferences and to guess each other's personality through writing and communicating. The misunderstandings caused by not being able to express my own thoughts correctly when using English that is not fluent, and the use of everyday expressions that I have never heard before in a fluent native language, have all strengthened my English ability invisibly.
