First of all, I would like to thank the Four Health (4-H) Club for holding such a meaningful transnational exchange activity, so that I can be full of gains in the process, not only to expand the circle of friends, meet such a kind and cheerful friend, Winter, but also to recognize many transnational cultural characteristics in the process of exchanges, and to develop an international perspective. My pen pal, Winter, is a generous and talkative young girl, when I first met this activity, I had an inexplicable sense of tension and was nervous about international pen pal exchanges, worried that I could not communicate with my pen pals fluently in English, and worried about not being able to promote many local features of Taiwan that are worth sharing.

When I sent my first email and received a reply, the feeling of uneasiness was all gone. Fortunately, Winter and I did not feel jerky at all when we first communicated by sending the email to each other, the icebreaking between us was unusually smooth, we first did the introduction about our own interests and hobbies, and I also indirectly found that our interests were very similar, so that the subsequent exchange was very

pleasant and successfully. During the event, we also frequently sent emails to each other to share each other's daily life and cultural characteristics of our hometown.

Due to the first exchange during the Lunar New Year, so I planned to share with Winter how to celebrate the traditional festive as a Chinese person, like putting up spring couplets, enjoying the reunion dinner, Giving, or receiving red envelopes, setting off firecrackers and fireworks, and offering sacrifices to Gods and ancestors. . .etc. After that, she later expressed great interest in the characteristics of Chinese culture. She later shared with me anecdotes about celebrating Black History and Black culture during that time. One of the most surprising and rewarding things for me during the whole exchange activity was that the email which Winter reply to me when I shared with her the Taiwanese education system and the departments and careers I aspired to in the future.

Winter mentioned to me that she was a homeschooling-student, and she would stay in the Four Health Club on weekdays to study the courses required for the exams, and participating in various activities after class, I was immediately very curious and surprised about that, because I had never known people who is homeschooling at home in my dating circle until I met Winter. Students, inevitably filled with a strong desire to learn, want to know her reading style, time planning and distribution, and most importantly- what is her idea? She mentioned that many people seem to think that self-management ability of self-students is very good, but it took a long time of hard work to put down her mobile phone and learn self-discipline. This exchange process made me think of the implementation of experimental education in Taiwan for many years, and I have rarely heard students share the learning process in person, and after this valuable experience, I understood the meaning of self-study more and was full of gains.
